La première est faite de films que j’ai tournés avec ma première Bolex à notre arrivée en Amérique, surtout pendant les années 1950 à 1953. Ce sont les images de ma vie, de celle d’Adolfas, de ce à quoi nous ressemblions à l’époque ; des plans d’immigrants à Brooklyn, pique-niquant, dansant, chantant ; les rues de Williamsburg. On y voit la vieille maison, ma mère (née en 1887), tous mes frères célébrant notre retour, les endroits que nous connaissions, la vie aux champs et autres détails insignifiants.
